I always loved photomontage, and was originally Inspired by artists like Gee Vaucher (Crass) and Linder Sterling (Buzzcocks), amongst others. Throw in a healthy dose of the surrealists, the situationists, and various other cultural rebels and you have my influences in a nutshell. A part of growing up is realising you are part of a tradition. There may be nothing new under the sun, but there are always new things to be made.
To me, Photomontage always seemed like the perfect art form for the digital age. Sourcing images and learning digital painting techniques may be a lengthy process, but it's a rewarding one. Having one foot in the analogue world is good, too, though. As a lithograph printer, I loved the way you could create a whole new colour spectrum from as little as four pigments. The fact that you used machines to achieve it seemed almost like alchemy.
I will always aim to provide interesting, inventive prints with the highest quality and affordable prices. More updates coming soon, but, for now, please feel free to check out the links below.
